Do Now 9/29
An editorial are things like newspapers that express people's opinions. I don't believe Wikipedia is a good source because even though people might be checking the information it that people can still post whatever they want. I would never trust Wikipedia to do things like research papers or essays. I always asked some of my teachers if I can use Wikipedia and they always said no. When I have to do the big research paper that comes every year, I ask my History and English teachers and they say it isn't a reliable source.
I always want to find the research fast and Wikipedia is always one of the first results that pop up. I always end up clicking on the site but, never use any of the information because I'm afraid that it might be wrong. Research papers are already time consuming so I don't want to have to spend more time checking to see if the information I got off Wikipedia is correct. Its a waste of time doing that and with the busy life I have I'm better off not using it. The only way I would ever use it is looking up unimportant things like facts about One Direction or another band ( even though to some people One Direction is very important, I'm not knocking your choice of music. I happen to love them anyways).
After reading this article, my thoughts haven't changed about Wikipedia. I still feel that people should not use it when doing papers or for anything that has to do with school. My teachers don't let me use Wikipedia nor do I really want to use it. I just don't want to have recheck all of the information from other websites when I can go to one website and get all the right information the first time. I would use Wikipedia if only certain people who actually knew what they were talking about were ones who were allowed to post.

Web 2.0. Multimedia Blog Pre-Posting
I am taking US History 1 this year. Ms. Gaven teaches the class. When I first came into the class, I was expecting to learn about the history of the United States.I thought this class was going to be stressful and the teacher was going to be strict when I first started the class. I expected to learn about things like the constitution and World War 1. In the class, we talk about a lot about history and relate it to what's
Currently in US History we are learning about the Constitution. We also learned what the meaning of history is. I love learning about History in general. I like learning about history because I like learning about the events that shaped the world we have today. I also like how the events of the past are similar to the ones of the future.
Ms. Gaven grading policy is 40% for summative assessments, 40% for Performance Based Assessments, 10% for classwork, and 10% for homework. Technology is used in class when we are allowed to use the online textbook. We are also supposed to be getting Chrome books for all of our classes. We mention technology in history for things like the first computer or the first phone. Technology has come a long way from where it used to be and it shaped our country,
